This Privacy Policy describes how Held (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Held mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Our website may host this policy at heldquiet.com.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

Onboarding and preferences. If you complete in-app questionnaires (for example, mood, goals, or audio preferences), we may process that information to personalize or improve your experience. Depending on how the app is built, some of this may stay on your device and not be transmitted to us—see your in-app notices and device settings.

Support communications. If you contact us, we receive the information you send (for example, your email address and the content of your message).
2.2 Information collected automatically

Device and app data. We may collect limited technical information needed to run and secure the Service, such as app version, device type, operating system version, and diagnostic or performance data.

2.3 Purchases
Subscriptions and restores are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple. Apple’s processing of purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and, where applicable, Apple’s Standard EULA for apps on the App Store.
2.4 We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information as “sale” is commonly defined in U.S. state privacy laws.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including audio playback and library features).
- Personalize content where applicable.
- Process and verify subscriptions and entitlements.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Monitor and help secure the Service, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist us (for example, hosting, analytics, or customer support tools), subject to contractual safeguards where appropriate.
- Apple, as needed for in-app purchases and account-related features Apple provides.
- Authorities or others when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or asset transfer (with notice where required).
We do not share your information for third-party marketing unrelated to Held without your consent where consent is required.
5. Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. On-device data may remain until you delete the app or clear app data, depending on platform behavior.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. International users
If you use the Service from outside your home country, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection rules than your country.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information, or to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. You may also manage subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
